I simply love crochet… I can do it in the evening in front of the tv, and my husband is happy the computer is turned off (it’s a little, or a lot, noisy).
On photography blogs and on etsy I saw lovely baby cocoons – photo props.
I decided to make one myself, when I will use it… never… I know, but I think they’re sooo cute.
The doll in the picture isn’t as sweet as all those little babies, but I don’t have one of my one, they’re too big for this (my youngest is almost 4).
For Halloween my son wanted to be a wizard. They had a party at school on Friday.
Thursday I started out with an old nightgown and with a little work my son got dressed.
I made him a hat and a magic wand in the morning and in the afternoon he could wear it at school.
For the son of my sons teacher I made this fire truck cake.
It’s filled with chocolate mousse.
My eldest boy wanted another beanie, a horse, the last one was a ‘simple’ one.
Okay… I could give it a try I thought.
(and I keep on doing things without a pattern, who would’ve thought)
This is it (and I love it) :
When I was in the store, I saw wool very soft and shiny and I immediately knew I wanted to make a (newborn) baby beanie with it.
This is the result (sorry, it’s not on a baby’s head, I don’t have such teenie tiny kiddies):
I’m joining the “Not picture perfect” Challenge on mymemories again this week.
This is what I came up with (they always try to hide or act silly):
Still working on my sewing skills, but when I’m at it, I love it.
This pants are designed by me :), which means I didn’t have a pattern, but made one myself (okay, it’s a bit too wide and I still need to make the thingies for the belt), but I’m so proud of the result.
